This informal, UP-CLOSE GATHERING, led by DAC Foundation founder and director Mark Andrew Harris, will offer a unique opportunity to personally engage with works of art from the DAC Foundation Collection Archives. On Saturday, August 31, 2024, guests will have a RARE OPPORTUNITY to delve deeper into the world of DAC artist Doris Alexander Thompson and see examples of her sketchbooks, gouache paintings, original lithographs, and ephemera housed in the DAC Foundation Archives, most of which have never been publicly shown.

Doris Alexander Thompson is one of the artists featured in the current exhibition “Echos of the Past Part II: Select Works from the DAC Foundation Collection.” The gathering will begin at 1:30 p.m. and conclude at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the Prattville Creative Arts Center, 342 South Chestnut Street, in Historic Downtown Prattville. Light refreshments will be served.
