“A Visual History of Tallassee,” brochures, shown above,  will be available at both DAC Foundation presentations at the Mount Vernon Theatre. Below is a list of art related activities planned for Friday, June 07 and Saturday, June 08 in downtown Tallassee, Alabama:

• DIXIE ART COLONY EXHIBITION
  June 07: 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm | JUNE 08: 9:30 am until 2:00 pm
  Trustmark Bank Lobby, 304 Barnett Boulevard in downtown Tallassee
  The exhibition of artwork by Dixie Art Colony artists will be open from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on June 07 and 9:30 am until 2:00 pm on June 08. A reception will be held from 6:00 pm from 8:00 pm on June 07 in the main banking lobby.
  

• DIXIE ART COLONY: A LOOK AT ITS LASTING LEGACY
  June 07: 6:30 pm until 7:00 pm | JUNE 08: 10:00 am until 10:30 am
  Mount Vernon Theatre, 321 Barnett Boulevard in downtown Tallassee
  The 17-minute video chronicles the history of the Dixie Art Colony, which began in 1933 near Tallassee at Camp Dixie on Lake Martin.

• A HISTORY OF TALLASSEE THROUGH THE EYES OF AN ARTIST
  JUNE 07: 7:00 pm until 7:30 pm | JUNE 08: 10:30 am until 11:00 am
  Mount Vernon Theatre, 321 Barnett Boulevard in downtown Tallassee
  The slide presentation and lecture will focus on the four mural-sized oil paintings by DAC artists Kelly Fitzpatrick and Arthur Stewart located in the lobby of Trustmark Bank located directly across the street from the theatre.

• ELMORE COUNTY ART GUILD EXHIBITION
  June 07: 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm | JUNE 08: 9:30 am until 2:00 pm
  Old Patterson Building now “RESTORATION 49,” 101 North Ann Street in downtown Tallassee
  The exhibition of artwork by Elmore County Art Guild artists will be open from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on June 07 and 9:30 am until 2:00 pm on June 08. The reception and awards ceremony will be held at 11:30 on June 08. Refreshments will be served at the reception.
  

• TALLASSEE YOUTH ART EXHIBITION
  June 07: 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm | JUNE 08: 9:30 am until 2:00 pm

  The exhibition will include a variety of local area artists. A reception and awards ceremony will be held at 11:30 on June 08. Refreshments will be served at the reception.

• TALLASSEE COMMUNITY ART  EXHIBITION
  June 07: 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm | JUNE 08: 9:30 am until 2:00 pm

  The exhibition will include a variety of local area artists.
