“Walk Where They Walked” Perkins Gin

Join us on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Perkins Gin & Warehouse located at 305 North Opothleohola Street in west Wetumpka for a “Walk Where They Walked” plein air event.

The historic Perkins Cotton Gin is located near the site of Kelly Fitzpatrick’s former family home and is known to be a plein air painting site for Kelly Fitzpatrick and other Dixie Art Colony artist. While the cotton gin has not been operational for many years, some of the original structures still remain.

The program will include a brief presentation about Perkins Gin, a picnic lunch and plein air painting. The program will begin at 11:30 am and lunch will be served at 12:00 noon. Both artists and spectators are invited to attend. This event was RESCHEDULED from March 21 to MARCH 28, 2018.
