Large Works by Kelly Fitzpatrick

Join us at the Alabama Department of Archives and History at 10:00 am on May 17 for a private showing of select works by Kelly Fitzpatrick.

This FREE program will begin promptly at 10:00 am in the main lobby of the Alabama Department of Archives and History located at 624 Washington Avenue in downtown Montgomery. Please park in ADAH guest parking lot located across the street from the Adams Avenue entrance at the rear of the building. We will begin by viewing several Fitzpatrick paintings which are located in the ADAH building. We will also have an opportunity see sketches by Fitzpatrick form the ADAH collection.  Following this portion of the program, we will walk across the street to the Alabama State Capitol to view additional Fitzpatrick paintings which are not normally accessible to the public. The highlight of this portion will be four 35.5 x 65.5″ oil paintings completed by Fitzpatrick in 1945 and 1946.

Following the program we will proceed to Wintzell’s Oyster House located at 105 Commerce Street in downtown Montgomery for a group lunch. As you enter, tell the greeter that you are with the DAC Foundation.  We will have tables reserved. You will be responsible for the cost of your lunch. The restaurant is located on the street level of the Montgomery Renaissance hotel. On-street parking and garage parking is available. The parking garage entrance is located on Bibb Street. Car pooling is suggested.
