JOIN THE DAC FOUNDATION APRIL 22–24, 2022, ON ALABAMA’S GULF COAST.

Please join us for an art-filled weekend on Alabama’s Gulf Coast. In partnership with the Dauphin Island Heritage & Arts Council and the Dauphin Island Gallery, LLC, the DAC Foundation will present an exhibition about the Dixie Art Colony spinoff known as “THE BAYOU PAINTERS” at 918 Bienville Boulevard, Dauphin Island, AL. This event will take place in conjunction with the Dauphin Island PLEIN AIR PAINT-OUT. Artists from across the south will gather at Dauphin Island, Bayou La Batre, and Coden to paint the great outdoors just as “The Bayou Painters” did from 1946 through 1953. In addition to the exhibition, a discussion and slide presentation will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022. A “Wet-Paint Sale” will be held on April 23 and April 24, 2022, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.

To learn more about the exhibition, Plein Air painting event, and the “Wet-Paint Sale” visit the Dauphin Island Gallery, LLC on FACEBOOK or call 251.978.5566.
